UNDER THE HIGH PATRONAGE OF HIS MAJESTY KING MOHAMMED VI

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE 10 KM FOR PEACE

Rabat, a UNESCO World Heritage City, bears the heritage of several great cultures in history while meeting the challenge of a modern capital open to the world. The city is full of treasures for those who take the time to walk through it.

Sport is a time of communion and personal growth. The race – 10km is accessible to the greatest number of people.  The most athletic are offered a 10km timed race under the most professional conditions by Race Timer, while the children can discover the sensations of running.

Peace is built on the values of tolerance, openness and acceptance of the other. These are the values embodied in sport. The Diplomatic Circle of Rabat wanted this gathering, taking place on the sidelines of the United Nations International Sports Day, to carry this message. With the contribution of everyone, this race will bring together the largest number of nationalities who have never raced together in Rabat.

WHY RUN THE 10 KM FOR PEACE?

Sport promotes tolerance, mutual understanding and peace. It contributes to social integration and equality. It empowers women, girls and people with disabilities.

The diplomatic community of Rabat wishes to show a strong symbol of peace and gathering by organizing a 10km race in Rabat as part of the United Nations International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.

Everyone taking part in this event, running or simply watching, wearing the white T-shirt, the color of peace, will be an ambassador for tolerance by showing that, more than ever, humanity needs solidarity.

All profits will be donated to charities supported by the Diplomatic Circle in Morocco
